RC Pro Setup Guide by: Tom Zadar

Setup for the Walkera V120D02S V2 – RX-2636H-D Receiver – Devo Transmitter

You can use the settings listed below or you can use my settings for the Mini CP which also work for the V120D02S. I have Beginner Settings, Intermediate to Advanced Settings, and 3D Settings for the Mini CP.

The only difference between Beginner and Standard Settings are Pitch Curve for Normal Flight and D/R & EXPO.

Type- Helicopter

SWASH – 1 Servo Normal

STMOD – MODE2 if you want the throttle on the left stick

REVERS – All normal

THHLD - There are two different methods of throttle hold to use.

Method 1 – For RX firmware v1.0

LarsDennert from rcgroups gave me these settings that he uses.

THHLD – STATE – ACT -

POSIT -15%

Set throttle trim all the way down to the bottom. Default it at center.

Method 2 – For RX firmware v1.1

THHLD – STATE – ACT -

POSIT – 0.0%

Set throttle trim to center.

Throttle Curve

Normal Flight

L= 0%

M= 50%

H= 100%

Stunt 1

L= 100%

M= 75%

H= 100%

Stunt 2

L= 100%

M= 75%

H= 100%

Pitch Curve

Normal Flight

L= – 20% **

M= + 0%

H= + 56%

** If you are a beginner you can use L= 0%. This will give you zero degree negative pitch for indoor flying or outdoor flying with no wind. The heli will not slam to the ground if you pull the throttle down to fast due to having negative pitch. Do not use this for stunt modes, only use this for normal mode.

Stunt 1

L= – 56%

M= + 0%

H= + 56%

Stunt 2

L= – 56%

M= + 0%

H= + 56%

Pitch Cure – Throttle Hold

L= 0%

M= 0%

H= 0%

These settings will help minimize damage in a crash as the swash and blades will be at mid stick zero degrees pitch.
This will also help prevent a boom strike. The swash does not move with TH with these settings.
If you want control of the swash in TH to help you land in a crash then don’t use these settings.

If you are setting up pitch curves use these settings below first then switch to the settings above for when you fly.

L= -100%

M= 0%

H= + 100%

DR&EXP

Set D/R and EXPO to your personal preference.

Standard Settings

ELEV D/R = 70%  EXP +30%

AILE D/R = 70%  EXP +30%

RUDD D/R = 100%  EXP LIN

Beginner Settings

ELEV D/R = 50%  EXP +30%

AILE D/R = 50%  EXP +30%

RUDD D/R = 100%  EXP LIN

Ultra Beginner Settings

These settings are for hovering and slow flight only. These settings have very low servo travel which will make the controls less responsive to stick input if you need to tame down the controls even more.
Don’t try to flip or 3D with these settings.

ELEV D/R = 30% EXP -10%

AILE D/R = 30% EXP  -10%

RUDD D/R = 100% EXP +20%
